Install the Sales Tracking Code:
We strongly recommend that you install the sales tracking code as it will allow you to track the number and total amount of sales generated from MyShopping. This sales tracker should give you an indication on the success you've had with your advertising campaign and let you assess the ROI.

All that is left now is to do a test to ensure the tracking code is working properly. To do a test, please do the following;
  • complete a purchase on your store, please do not hit refresh after you have completed the order
  • make a note of the amount and the date + the order number for that order
  • send an email to us with the order number, date and amount. We will find the data for you same day
All sales data appears next day in your Merchant interface so you can always wait 24hrs to check the data yourself.

 

How we track the sales

We track sales by combining the sales tracking data sent with the visitors cookie (21 days) data. we then combine this data and attribute a sale to Myshopping when these two match up.

e.g. visitor comes to Myshopping and clicks on one of your products. Comes back a few days later and then buys the product directly from your site. We would attribute the sale to Myshopping as this was the intention.
