Once we confirm your sales tracking is working, we will switch on free points for your account. Rewards members will be able to get points every time they purchase from you through us.
Installing the code
Please view this short < 2 minute instructional video before following the instructions below, together they will help you install and test the myshopping.com.au tracking code on your Oscommerce site. .
Prerequisites
Admin access to your Myshopping merchant interface.
A FTP (file transfer protocal) Applicatonn Eg Cute FTP , FileZilla, Dreamweaver.
Write administrative access login credentials for the FTP account on the webserver
Have a basic understand of the programing.
Some previous knowledge of the hosting template system.
1. Login in to your Myshopping account and locate your Merchant ID from the Account Summary screen.
2. Copy the code from the box below and replace the words Yourmerchantid with your Myshopping Merchant ID
* Do not add any extra spaces or carriage returns with in the code also use a plain text editor to make modification.
3. Login in to your Oscommerce store via your FTP program and navigate to the following path
/catalog
4. Make a backup of the checkout_success.php file on the server also copy this to your local machine
5. Open the checkout_success.php file with your editor
6. Edit the checkout_success.php file and add the code from above with your merchant ID
7. Save the code and upload this back to the webserver overwriting the original file.
**Please note sales transactional data are displayed as default store currency settings and not as AUD
Dont forget to test the code is working
All that is left now is to do a test to ensure the tracking code is working properly. To do a test, please do the following;
- complete a purchase on your store, please do not hit refresh after you have completed the order
- make a note of the amount and the date + the order number for that order
- send an email to us with the order number, date and amount. We will find the data for you same day
All sales data appears next day in your Merchant interface so you can always wait 24hrs to check the data yourself.
