Prestashop is a modern cart that has many features and modules that allow you to create very customised datafeeds.

Check which version you have

You can easily check what version you are using by logging into the Prestashop front end, it should be easy to find it in the footer. Another way to check is by typing in the following this URL http://www.whitefirdesign.com/tools/prestashop-version-check.html, in some cases your ISP might block the check but there is a chrome module they suggest you can activate.


Step 1: Download the right script for your version

Compatible with: 1.1-1.6.x
Products exported: Enabled, Simple Products
Not supported : Stock Status, Shipping Price

Compatible with: 1.7x-1.8x
Products exported: Enabled, Simple Products
Special Notes: Stock Status & Shipping Price are only accurate if the default settings are used for Stock Level and Shipping rates.


Step 2: Upload the script

Unzip the PHP file and upload it (myshopping_prestashop.php) to your root directory where index.php is located  - for this you will need to use the web site hosting login. Usually this is done via CPanel. If you are unfamiliar with this action then you may need to contact your web developer or hosting provider.


Step 3: Look at the data

Once all is set up you need to check the result and make sure the output is correct. Point the browser to: http://yoursite/myshopping_prestashop.php, Your browser will fill with data or a file called myshopping_datafeed.txt will download. Check the product data either in your browser or the file.


Step 4: Send us the link
